The Apprentice VR Week

What an poor, poor attitude towards the biggest form of entertainment on the planet and abysmal display of creativity.

If you didn't know, the BBC business show The Apprentice had a task this week for the final 8 candidates to create a video game for the hot new gaming tech Virtual Reality; so if you didn't catch it let me give you a summary in one word: appalling.

I don't know what it is about western society but there seem to be seems to be a stigma attached to being interesting in video games that is unlike any other form of media. I could probably say at a party that I'm a massive Star Trek nerd and proceed to review every episode and maintain a better flow of conversation than if I say I play video games. I'm just so confused how a form of media can be the largest form of entertainment on earth currently and yet has a prejudice towards it like it does. This was illustrated perfectly in this weeks Apprentice episode.
